Drive information

Once the drive is connected to MotionLab3 there are a few ways to check for its information:

• Drive Explorer

  • Header: In the Drive Explorer's header we can find the basic information regarding the drive like:

    • Serial number

    • Revision number

    • Firmware version

• Drive parameters:
  This section has all the registers classified by axis and shared registers that the dictionary of the firmware has. Each list is divided into different sections based on the functionalities that each one implements.
  This section allows us to navigate through all the register the drive has loaded. This way we can access all the information we want.

• Inspector: By selecting the drive in the Drive Explorer with the Inspector open we see it changes to show us the essential information we must know about this drive like:

  • Dictionary: Which dictionary filename has been loaded to the drive.

  • Actions regarding drive configuration seen in Loading / Saving & Storing / Restoring configurations.
