How to install CANopen drivers

This is a step-by-step guide on installing the necessary drivers for establishing connections through CANopen. The following transceivers are supported:

  • PEAK

  • KVASER

  • IXXAT

PEAK

First head to PEAK drivers, then go to Support->Downloads->Drivers and and download the latest version of the Device Driver Setup.

After the download, execute the installer.

Make sure that the PCAN-Basic feature is selected to be installed.

After the installation is finished, we need to restart MotionLab (or the PC if needed).

KVASER

To download the KVASER drivers first head to KVASER drivers and download the latest Kvaser Drivers for Windows.

After the download, execute the installer.

Make sure every box is selected when given the option to select the features that will be installed.

After the installation is finished, we need to restart MotionLab (or the PC if needed).

IXXAT

To download the IXXAT drivers first head to IXXAT drivers and download the latest driver for your IXXAT device.

After the download, execute the installer.

Make sure that Standard (without SDKs, examples) is selected when given the option to select the features that will be installed.

After the installation is finished, we need to restart MotionLab (or the PC if needed).
