I get an HW Overvoltage error

The HW overvoltage error shows that the maximum allowed voltage by the drive is overcome. This can point to the following problems:

• Power supply problem

• Wiring issue

• Noise in the DC bus (less likely than the other two, but also possible)

Our recommendation for this case is to monitor the DC bus with an oscilloscope and look for spikes. If this proves to be the issue, you can change the overvoltage sensitivity accordingly.

We do not recommend changing the parameter if the width and extend of the spikes issue is not studied.
