Is it safe to change components of my system (sensors, motors) without turning off the power?

We advise against this procedure.

This can bring multiple other issues including but not limited to:

• Charge peaks in the capacitors.

• Increase in the risk of damage due to ESD.

• Increase in the risk of connector malfunction.

• Terminal deterioration due to sparks.

• Increase in the risk of single pole connection.

This advice applies even in cases when this sounds safe. Such cases include:

• STO activated.

• Plugging/unplugging connectors (not using stray wires).
