Transmission System

The transmission system is the subsystem through which the mechanical energy output from the engine is transmitted to the desired axis of motion. This may include any number and type of mechanical energy transmission devices, such as gearboxes, belts, clutches, ballscrews, etc. Objects containing information about the transmission system are provided as a reference for the master element, since those values do not modify the behavior of the motion controller.
