This object contains all the information needed for external shunt configuration. To enable the shunt functionality a one must be written in the available object (0 will disable it).
The algorithm used by the shunt is represented in the following figure.
The external shunt is activated when the actual bus voltage is higher than Max user voltage plus hysteresis and is deactivated when the actual bus voltage is lower than Max user voltage minus hysteresis.
The hysteresis is expressed as percentage of max bus voltage.
The voltage applied to the shunt is modulated with a specific device frequency and the duty cycle is user configurable.
The duty has a range of admissible values that goes from 0 to 2048. The default value is 1024 which represents a 50% of duty cycle.
The shunt is enabled writing a value different to 0 in the sub-index 1 - Available. Otherwise, it is disabled.
Please, refer to the Installation manual of the drive for a further information.
To dimension the shunt please refer to the knowledge database http://doc.ingeniamc.com/wiki/motion-wiki/dimensioning-a-shunt-resistor-for-regenerative-braking
